My only child just graduated from high school, I just completed my undergraduate degree 6 months prior to her AND I have been sitting here thinking NOW WHAT?

I continually keep coming back to the words of the Dalai Lama,

""We are visitors on this planet. We are here for ninety, a hundred years at the very most. During that period we must try to do something good, something useful with our lives. Try to be at peace with yourself and help others share that peace. If you contribute to other people's happiness, you will find the true goal, the true meaning of life."

Here are my questions:

What is the job market like after graduating with a Master's from Naropa?

Are there internships, jobs, etc while attending school?

For financial reasons, I have to work (still have to put my daughter through college).

I have many questions, but I not sure what they are <giggle>, so any info or encouragement would be welcomed.

The Craft of Poetry

I wanted to start a discussion on the Craft of Poetry.

First off, what is Poetry - with a capital p?

What makes poetry different than prose: be it fiction or non-fiction?

Is poetry something that can be learned or taught, much like other art forms such as music, or the visual arts?

Does a writer's poetry mature ? Where does poetry come from?

Is a writer's poetry reflective of the writer, or is poetry something distinct and separate from the writer, completely?
